Thing 14- Powerful Presentations
For this module, I created a presentation on Prezi about a persuasive topic that I found important. The presentation was about keeping textbooks in classrooms instead of replacing them with all tablets. Prezi is a great resource that I will definitely continue to use as a teacher in my classroom for creating presentations. The Prezi website was easy to use and very useful, however each presentation can be time consuming, especially if you pay close attention to detail. I would definitely use this resource for large presentations or projects for my class, as well as recommend it to other students wishing to make presentations. The SAMR level that this presentation addresses is the S level, Substitution. Computer technology is being used to present and teach while students can follow and fill out a worksheet that corresponds to the presentation. Here is a link to my Prezi along with a few screenshots of the presentation.

If I were to be gone one day and need a substitute teacher, Prezi would be a great resource to use to create a presentation for my students to follow along. Students would follow along as the presentation ran and the sub would explain each slide with notes that I left. I would create guided notes for the students to fill in and then after the presentation, I would have students start to create their own Prezi about a persuasive topic of their choice. Here is the rubric I would use to grade a presentation that one of my students create using Prezi.
Rubric
Creativity - 5 points
Content - 5 points
Informative and accurate - 10 points
Color/visually appealing - 5 points
Total Points: 25 points
